The Nerazzurri react well as Mulattieri's goal cancels out Gagliano's opener

CAGLIARI – On matchday 15 in the Primavera 1 TIM division, Cagliari and Inter played out a 1-1 draw. It was an even match where the windy conditions played a big part, with Mulattieri’s goal cancelling out Gagliano’s opener. Armando Madonna’s side, who remain in third place behind the Sardinians, will return to the pitch on Wednesday, when they’ll play Sampdoria in their reaaranged matchday eight clash.

The first half was an even affair and played at a high tempo. In the third minute, Fonseca was unable to find the net following good combination play in the area. After a good start for the Nerazzurri, Cagliari grew into the game, with Stankovic being forced to intervene with half an hour on the clock to ensure that it remained goalless. The teams headed into the break with the score at 0-0.

Inter started the second half poorly as they fell behind following Gagliano’s strike. The Nerazzurri tired to react, with Mulattieri firing the ball just off target from a good position in the 56th minute. But the same player then scored the equaliser 16 minutes later: Gnonto led a counter-attack before picking out the number 10, who subsequently found the corner of the net with a right-footed effort from the edge of the box.
