Inter now sit in second place in Group D following their 3-1 win over Sheriff away from home. The Nerazzurri ran out as clear winners, with the hosts only managing to get on the scoresheet in the dying minutes. Marcelo Brozovic, Milan Skriniar and Alexis Sanchez found the net for the visitors, while Adama Traore replied for the Moldovans.

UEFA awarded the Man of the Match award to Marcelo Brozovic for the third time this season. The Croat had also been given the accolade against Real Madrid and the previous Sheriff game.
