NEW YORK – Inter’s latest foray to the United States was made up of events, meetings and visits to local Inter Clubs. The inaugural event for the Lega Serie A’s Calcio is Back project took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, with Serie A clubs rubbing shoulders with celebrities from the worlds of culture and sport, while the Nerazzurri party made the most of the opportunity to take a closer look at the Inter Clubs in the local area.

A delegation led by CEO Corporate Alessandro Antonello, alongside Chief Revenue Officer Luca Danovaro and Barbara Biggi, the club’s Global Marketing & Partnership Director, visited and brought together the Facchetti of New Jersey Inter Club, which has been active since 2007, the historic New York Moratti USA Club, which was founded in 1995, and the recently established one in Manhattan. There are also Inter Clubs across the country in Ohio, Miami, Las Vegas and Washington DC.

In line with the club’s ongoing internationalisation process, the growth among Inter Clubs abroad has been exponential in recent years, with 154 clubs spread across 69 countries, spanning five continents. The club’s increasingly international fan base is made up of around 22,000 members, with an 11% increase registered this year alone outside of Italy. The numbers are proof of the passion among Inter Club members the world over and how strongly they feel connected to the club, the sharing of core values and the notion of being part of a communal project in spite of the physical distance between them.

All the hard work has been consolidated by a string of initiatives held during the year, including dedicated events, meet & greets, promotions and exclusive matchday activities that have involved even the furthest-flung supporters.
