"He said the right words to make us determined to show people we weren't the team from earlier in the season. We didn't want the break to end our run of form"

UDINE - Marco Andreolli has praised Stefano Pioli's psychological impact on the Inter squad following his arrival at the club.

The Nerazzurri have enjoyed a revival of fortunes since the coach took over in November and Sunday's victory over Udinese was Inter's fourth on the bounce.

Speaking in an interview with Inter Channel after the game, Andreolli said: "The boss knew exactly which strings to pull. He said the right words to make us all determined to prove we weren't the team people saw at the start of the season.

"We were desperate to win this one and we trained really hard in Marbella. We didn't want the break to put an end to our run of form.

"It was by no means easy but hard-fought wins like this are all the more satisfying and they help improve you as a team."
