BROZOVIC AND VECINO: "WE’RE GIVING MORE THAN 100%”

Read what the two midfielders had to say after Inter beat SPAL 2-1

MILAN - He showed his inventiveness last year when he came up with the ‘crocodile’ tactic; lying behind the defensive wall to keep out a free kick from Luis Suarez. That same spirit of invention was present tonight as Marcelo Brozovic won the ball from Valdifiori and had the vision to find Lautaro Martinez, who scored Inter’s opener. The Croatian midfielder spoke to Sky Sport after the victory over SPAL: “We saw Juventus’ result, but we need to continue in this way. We had a great game; we’re all giving more than 100%. Now we’re looking ahead to Roma, we don’t care about anything else. We’ll think about the Barcelona game after we’ve played Roma.”

His midfield partner, who also played every second of the match, Matias Vecino, gave his thoughts on the match to Inter TV: “Our performance was a bit better in the first half, then we had some frenetic moments at the start of the second half but we managed to get all three points by the end of the game. The Coach asks us to be able to suffer when our opponents are growing in the game and are attacking, but after those minutes are past we have players who can hurt opponents. The Coach really is determined.”
