Barella: “We’re a great group and we want to give 110%”

MILAN - He was back in the squad for the win over Napoli, our first match of 2020, and Nicolò Barella was one of our main men in Tuesday’s Coppa Italia success. The Nerazzurri midfielder spoke to Sky Sport two days after the match against Lecce: “Inter wanted me so much, so I’ve done everything I can to repay the faith that they’ve shown in me, I got injured in the middle but sometimes these things happen in football, now I’m back and I hope to do even better.”

On the first half of the season: “Playing with these champions makes me happy because they’re helping me to express myself to the fullest. We’re on a great journey here, we’ve started this adventure full of desire and now we have to keep going like this, or do even better. We’ll do what the Coach asks of us, we’ll do it for ourselves, for the Club and for the fans.”

Then a word on the group and Antonio Conte: “The Coach asked us from the off to follow him and to always give it our all. We’ve formed a great group and we’re giving everything, we’re continuing to give 110% and even more. Conte helped me a lot in terms of tactics, in making sure that I’m always in the right position. I’ve always been very instinctive and he’s improved me a lot in this sense but he helps you improve in all areas, he manages to bring out 110% in everyone.”

Finally he spoke about their goals: “When you play for Inter, for such an important Club, when you have one of the best coaches in the world and you play with champions like these, you must always aim to win.”
