Official statement: Juventus vs. Inter to be played behind closed doors

Lega Serie A have also announced that the date of Inter vs. Sampdoria will be announced at a later date


MILAN - Juventus vs. Inter, the seventh matchday of the return set of fixtures in Serie A TIM at 20:45 CET on Sunday 1 March, will be played behind closed doors at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

The decision has come from the Lega Serie A, who stated the following as their reasoning for the decision:

With regard to Art. 1, par. 1, let. a) of the Decree from the President of the Council of Ministers on 25 February 2020 on “Further provisions for the implementation of the Decree Law no. 6 of 23 February 2020, taking urgent measures for the containment and management of the epidemiological emergency caused by COVID-19,” the President of the Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie A has ordered that the following matches on the seventh gameweek of the return set of fixtures in the Serie A TIM league should be played behind closed doors in their respective sporting facilities:

UDINESE vs. FIORENTINA AC MILAN vs. GENOA PARMA vs. SPAL SASSUOLO vs. BRESCIAJUVENTUS vs.INTER

Lega Serie A have also announced that the postponed date of Inter vs. Sampdoria will be decided and publicised at a later date.
