Again this year, the Club will take part in the initiative from the Lega Serie A dedicated to the children of parishes in cities with football teams in the Italian top flight, with the aim of promoting the values of social inclusion, loyalty, and anti-racism to the youngest among us. Over the last two years, in fact, the Junior TIM Cup has joined up with the Lega Serie A’s “Keep Racism Out” campaign and this year will involve CSI parishes from all over the country. From its inception in 2013 and up to 2023, the initiative has involved over 90,000 young people, more than 6,650 parishes and has organised over 35,000 games.

For Inter vs. Genoa on 4 March, in light of the collaboration between the Club and the Junior TIM Cup project, some children has the chance to visit San Siro and explore the most iconic parts of the ground ahead of the game, before watching the Nerazzurri win right before their eyes.

On the evening of Wednesday 20 October, Nerazzurri legend Fabio Galante took part - representing Inter - in the presentation of the Junior TIM Cup at the San Protaso Parish in Milan, together with representatives from AC Milan, Monza and Atalanta, and in the presence of Lega Serie A president Casini, CSI Nazionale president Vittorio Bosio and CSI Milan president Massimo Achini.

Again this year, the collaboration between Inter and the project was enriched by a moment of exchange between the young people in the Youth Sector, together with a delegation from the Junior TIM Cup project. In fact, on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, representatives from the Nerazzurri Youth Sector, together with a number of Club employees and a delegation of the children who are part of the project, met at the Shoah memorial in Milano.

The space is symbolic in the city, built on the spot from which trains would depart for concentration camps: the visit represented a chance for reflection, accompanied by the Nerazzurri Vice President, Javier Zanetti, and Oumar Daffe from the Corporate Social Responsibility Office of the Lega Serie A.

During the visit, there was also a moment of remembrance for Árpád Weisz, the Hungarian-born Jewish football manager who had a huge impact on Inter and the history of Italian football: he guided the Nerazzurri to their Scudetto win in 1929/30 (the first season with a single round). He was also successful with Bologna before fleeing Italy and becoming a victim of the Nazis extermination campaign. His name and history moved the young people present and, through the memories and connection to such a meaningful place, reinforced the stance against all forms of discrimination. Something that Inter stands strongly behind.
