Roma vs. Inter, match preview

MILAN – Inter will be back in action this evening, with Conte’s men set to take to the Stadio Olimpico pitch in Rome at 21:45 CEST this evening to face Fonseca’s Roma side on matchday 34 in Serie A.

NUMBERS AND STATISTICS

The next encounter between the two sides will be their 174th meeting in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri’s record against the Giallorossi reading as follows: 72 wins, 52 draws, 49 defeats. Conte’s side currently sit on 71 points in the table following 21 victories, eight draws and four losses. Inter have scored 72 times in Serie A so far, and no team has found the net more than the Nerazzurri since the restart in June (23 goals, level with Atalanta). At the other end, Inter have conceded 34 over the whole season.

FUN FACTS: GOALS FROM DISTANCE

Inter have scored eleven goals from outside the box this year, five more than they did all of last season and their best total in this statistic since their 13 long-distance goals in 2014/15. However, Roma have conceded just two longshots this league campaign, the fewest of any side in Serie A (with Inter having conceded the second fewest with three).

After suffering three successive defeats, the Giallorossi have since bounced back with three victories in their last three league matches.
