The former Nerazzurri forward, who scored 171 goals for Inter, turns 77 today


MILAN – Born in Mantua in 1943, he came up through the Nerazzurri’s youth ranks and played for the Club for seven seasons. He made his first-team debut in the 1969/70 season and wore our shirt until 1976, a period which saw him establish himself as one of the strongest strikers of the era.

He scored 171 goals in 281 appearances for Inter in all competitions, making him the Club's third highest goalscorer of all time. He made a significant contribution to the Nerazzurri’s 1970/71 Scudetto success and twice finished as the top goalscorer in Serie A.

Today, Roberto Boninsegna turns 77: best wishes from FC Internazionale Milano and the whole of the Nerazzurri family.
