MILAN – Inter recorded their tenth consecutive league victory yesterday evening, moving up to 71 points (eleven ahead of second-place AC Milan) and consolidating their position at the top in the process. Indeed, goals from Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez sealed a 2-1 success over De Zerbi’s Sassuolo.
Four players are in contention to pick up the MVP award:
Lukaku | The Belgian opened the scoring with his second headed goal of the season (he’s now found the net 21 times during the current Serie A campaign) and provided the assist for the second
Lautaro Martinez | The Argentine has set a personal record for goals scored in a single Serie A campaign: thanks to his goal against De Zerbi’s side, his tally now stands at 15
Skriniar | Assured at the back, often involved in the build-up and a magnificent last-ditch challenge to deny Boga
Young | The Englishman made four tackles and six clearances, also winning possession back on six occasions. A constant threat down the left flank
