Roma's 10-game scoring run

The Giallorossi have netted in each of their last 10 competitive matches (total 21 goals scored). The last time they failed to score was in the 1-0 Serie A defeat at home to Torino on 13 May 2007.

Giallorossi unbeaten since May

Roma's last defeat was the 3-2 reverse at Cagliari on 20 May 2007. Since that date Spalletti's team have played 8 competitive matches, winning 6 and drawing 2.

Totti most prolific player still in activity

Francesco Totti has scored 4 goals in 2007/08, bringing his Serie A total to 155. The Roma captain is the most prolific player still playing in Italy's top flight.

Adriano, Cruz, Vieira & goals against Roma

There are three players in the 2007/08 Inter squad who count Roma among their favourite targets. Of his 98 goals since arriving in Italy, Adriano has scored 6 against the Giallorossi and Juventus. Cruz, currently on 83 goals, has scored 6 against Roma and Udinese. Vieira has scored 9 goals for Italian clubs. He hit a brace against Roma in last season's Super Cup.

Inter, Crespo: two nightmares for Doni

Roma goalkeeper Doni has conceded 83 goals since moving to Italy. He has let in 17 (20.5%) in games against Inter - more than any other team. Hernan Crespo scored five goals against Doni last season to become the Brazilian goalkeeper's most feared opponent.

Inter's last Serie A defeat at home to Roma

The Nerazzurri have not lost a Serie A match since their 3-1 home defeat to Roma on 18 April 2007. Since that date Inter have collected 8 wins and 3 draws.

Inter goalless in just one of last 17 away league games

The Nerazzurri have failed to score in just one of their last 17 Serie A away matches: Reggina 0-0 Inter on 7 April 2007. Mancini's team have notched 37 goals in the 16 away games played since that date.

Ibrahimovic one of two most decisive players in 2007/08

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Atalanta's Riccardo Zampagna are the two most decisive players after five rounds of league matches. The Swedish forward's goals have earned Inter 7 of their 11 points while Zampagna's efforts have won the Bergamo side 7 of their 9 points. September is Ibrahimovic's most prolific time of the year. Of his 44 league goals for Italian clubs, he has scored 10 in the ninth calendar month.

ROME - Defending champions Inter thrashed ten-man Roma 4-1 at the Olimpico to move three points clear at the top of the Serie A table.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Giuly was red-carded for hand ball.

Simone Perrotta struck a second-half reply for the Giallorossi who were finished off by three quick goals from Hernan Crespo, Julio Cruz and Ivan Cordoba.

Roberto Mancini opted for a surprise 4-3-3 lineup, flanking Ibrahimovic with Cesar and Figo in a three-pronged attack in front of midfield trio Stankovic, Dacourt and Cambiasso.

Roma made the brighter start and could have taken an early lead but Julio Cesar kept out Totti's thunderous free kick and Mancini's left-footed follow-up shot.

The Nerazzurri's first chance fell to Ibrahimovic who shielded from Mexes and turned quickly before sending a weak shot at Doni.

Inter kept up the pressure and went close again when Cambiasso tested the Roma custodian with a volleyed effort from the edge of the box after Zanetti's right-wing cross spun off Juan.

The breakthrough came after a counter-attack on 28 minutes. Doni parried a Cesar shot and Giuly was shown a straight red for handling Ibrahimovic's subsequent header. The Swedish forward dispatched the resulting penalty low to Doni's right to put the Nerazzurri in front.

Inter lost Ibrahimovic and Dacourt to injury early in the second half. Mancini threw on Argentine forwards Crespo and Cruz and reverted to a 4-4-2 formation.

Roma took advantage of the Nerazzurri's tactical switch and equalised through Simone Perrotta who lashed home from close range after a defensive mistake by Maxwell.

But the Giallorossi's leveller was short-lived as Inter stepped up a gear and stunned their opponents with three goals in nine minutes.

Cruz struck the post with a sweet right-foot shot from just inside the Roma box.

Crespo restored Inter's lead on 57 minutes, volleying in after Cambiasso's shot was parried by Doni.

Cruz then opened up a two-goal advantage with a low screamer from distance after receiving from Figo.

Cordoba killed off the game in the 66th, rising at the far post to power home Figo's pin-point left-wing cross.
