The only change is in central defence, with Cordoba coming in for the injured Samuel.
Inter: 1 Julio Cesar; 13 Maicon, 2 Cordoba, 6 Lucio, 26 Chivu; 19 Cambiasso, 5 Stankovic; 27 Pandev, 10 Sneijder, 9 Eto'o; 22 Milito.

1' This is the second match of the season between these two teams after the 2010 Italian Super Cup, when Samuel Eto'o scored the first of his three braces for Inter this season. The other two came against Palermo and Bari. More goals from the Inter number nine tonight? We're about 15 minutes away from finding out.
1' Against Roma tonight Ivan Ramiro Cordoba will make his 300th appearance in Italy's Serie A (all for Inter). Read about what he had to say about this and much more in yesterday's interview with Inter Channel.

Ranieri v Benitez

The two coaches meet for the fourth time after their home and away meetings in the 1998/99 Spanish Liga, when Benitez' Extremadura beat Ranieri's Valencia 1-0 at home before a 1-1 draw in the return fixture at the Mestalla, and this season's Italian Super Cup match in Milan, won 3-1 by Inter. Benitez is therefore unbeaten in games against teams coached by Ranieri.

Benitez v Roma

Rafa Benitez encounters Roma for the second time after August's 3-1 Italian Super Cup victory at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Ranieri v Inter

Claudio Ranieri leads an Italian team against Inter for the 25th time in his career after 5 victories, 11 draws and 8 defeats. The current Roma boss has previously faced the Nerazzurri on two occasions in the Champions League. In 2004/05 his Valencia side lost 5-1 at home before drawing 0-0 in Milan. Ranieri made his coaching debut on 9 September 1990. On that occasion Cagliari were beaten 3-0 by Inter at the StadioSant'Elia.

One Roma defeat in last 17 home games

Roma have lost only one of their last 17 home games in Serie A: last 25 April when they were beaten 2-1 by Sampdoria. In the other 16 games the Giallorossi have won 13 and drawn 3.

De Rossi, Perrotta and goals against Roma

Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta are at their most prolific against Inter, with 6 and 5 goals apiece in games against the Nerazzurri. Perrotta has also scored 5 against Cagliari. Wth four goals against Julio Cesar, De Rossi has scored more against the Inter goalkeeper than any other.

Menez and substitutions

Jeremy Menez is one of two players in the 2010/11 Serie A to have been substituted in all four games so far. The other is Brescia's Alessandro Diamanti.

Sending-offs against Roma

With red cards for Burdisso against Cagliari and Mexes against Brescia, Roma have had more players sent off than any other team in the 2010/11 Serie A championship so far.

Penalties in Inter's favour

Inter have had more penalties awarded in their favour than any other team after four rounds of Serie A matches. Of their three penalties, Samuel Eto'o has scored two and had one saved.

Inter on target away to Roma in 11 consecutive games

Inter have scored at least one goal in each of their last 11 games away to Roma, netting a total of 22. The Nerazzurri last failed to score away to the Giallorossi on 17 November 2001 - a goalless Serie A draw at the Stadio Olimpico. This stat excludes the 2008 and 2010 Coppa Italia finals, both played at the Olimpico but regarded as a neutral ground by the Italian Football League.

Eto'o's sensational start

Of Samuel Eto'o's seventeen goals in Italian competitions, seven have come in September (two last season and five so far this term). The Cameroonian has scored no less than 8 goals in all competitions since the start of the season, making him the highest scorer in Italy.

Inter: no goals conceded in second half

The Nerazzurri have let in two goals in the first four rounds of the 2010/11 Serie A season: both in the first half.

ROME - Inter battled hard at the Stadio Olimpico but came away with their first defeat of the domestic season.

Mirko Vucinic sealed a narrow victory for the hosts in stoppage time at the end of the second half to stretch Roma's unbeaten home run in Serie A to eighteen games.

Cordoba for Samuel was the only change from the Inter team that breezed past Bari in midweek, while Roma had the likes of Totti, De Rossi and Burdisso back in their starting lineup.

Inter's main threat in the opening half was Dejan Stankovic. The Serbian had three good attempts blocked, and almost scored with his fourth, a splendid long-range effort that dipped over Lobont and bounced off his crossbar.

The match turned sour and tempers flared as frustration set in after the restart, Morganti producing no less than seven yellow cards in a 26-minute spell.

The Nerazzurri kept their cool though and had more ball possession, Eto'o coming close on three occasions and forcing two difficult saves from Lobont.

The game looked to be heading for the first 0-0 draw between the two teams since 26 October 2003, but in time added on De Rossi swung in a cross from the right and Vucinic squeezed between Lucio and Chivu to send a diving header past Julio Cesar.
