The Nerazzurri produce a fantastic comeback to win their opening league fixture of the season

CITTA' SANT'ANGELO – On matchday one of the Primavera 1 TIM season, Armando Madonna’s Inter side came from behind to beat Pescara 3-2. It was a first twenty minutes to forget for the Nerazzurri, who went 2-0 down in the opening stages. However, Inter produced a fantastic comeback to win it thanks to goals from Oristanio and Schirò in addition to the decisive and unfortunate own goal scored by Paolilli. The U19s thus got the better of Pescara and started the season with three points.

In Città Sant'Angelo, Pescara went ahead in the fifth minute through Borrelli, who finished off Pavone’s through ball. The hosts then doubled their lead with twelve minutes on the clock thanks to Pavone’s penalty following a handball in the box, despite Inter goalkeeper Pozzer going the right way. Just before the half-hour mark, Madonna opted to make two changes: Vaghi and Oristanio came on for Ntube and Gianelli. It was the right move for Inter, who got back in the game in the 37th minute through the newly introduced Oristanio.

The Nerazzurri started the second half in excellent fashion and came close to levelling matters through Vergani, Agoume and then Colombini. After 58 mintes, Vergani’s fantastic back heel hit the post. A few minutes later, Oristanio, who was heavily involved in the play, struck the bar with a left-footed strike. Inter finally managed to deservedly draw level with 68 minutes on the clock through Schirò: the Nerazzurri captain, who had been found by the impressive Oristanio, found the back of the net via a deflection off a Pescara defender. With ten minutes of normal time to go, Fonseca wasn’t able to connect with the ball from close range and the chance went begging. Just a minute from time, Madonna’s team completed the comeback: Paolilli diverted the ball past his own goalkeeper after Persyn's dangerous ball from the right. The Nerazzurri thus managed to win it at the last and claim their first three points of the season.
