Zanetti and Baresi took part in the Pirelli Foundation event to talk about the importance of "teaming up with books"
MILAN - Javier Zanetti and Regina Baresi were invited to the event organised by the Pirelli Foundation, in collaboration with #ioleggoperché (English translation: the reason I read). The day took place at the Milan Bicocca Headquarters and was attended by roughly 250 children aged between 10 and 14. The aim of the day was to combine a passion for reading with a love of sport, united under the slogan "teaming up with books".
The Pirelli Foundation organised the event on the importance of teamwork in the classroom, sport and in life, along with the help of writer and journalist Luigi Garlando, Javier Zanetti, Regina Baresi and Mario Isola, the latter of whom is a Pirelli F1™ and Car Racing Manager. The event was also attended by Laura Galimberti, Councillor for Education and Training in the City of Milan, Ricardo Franco Levi, President of the Italian Publishers Association and Antonio Calabrò, Director of the Pirelli Foundation. The day ended with the donation of over 300 books to enrich the library at the G. Verga secondary school in Milan.
