MILAN – Following on from back-to-back away wins in the league against Brescia and Bologna, Inter are preparing themselves for their return to San Siro where they face Hellas Verona on matchday twelve of Serie A TIM.

The match, kicking off at 18:00 CET on Saturday 9 November, will be the 57th encounter between the two sides, with the Nerazzurri having won 32 of these matches. Hellas Verona have four victories, while the remaining 20 have ended as draws.

Recent matches also tell a positive tale with Inter unbeaten in their last 16 games against Verona in Serie A (13W, 3D), the longest unbeaten streak for the Nerazzurri against any opponent who are still in the top division. Inter have scored at least two goals in 14 of the last 15 of these games, netting 37 in total.

Verona arrive at San Siro off the back of two wins in the league, and having conceded just nine goals so far this season they boast the joint best defence in the league with Juventus. On the other hand, Conte’s side are the only team to have scored in all of their first eleven league games of the season, the Nerazzurri finding the net at least twice in each of their last four Serie A games. Along with Atalanta, Inter are the only side to boast two players with a minimum of five goals scored in the league so far this season: Romelu Lukaku (nine) and Lautaro Martínez (five). Inter have also scored ten goals from dead ball situations, the highest of any team from this start to Serie A.

No team has kept more clean sheets than Inter or Verona this Serie A season, each side having four.

Sticking in the defence, Stefan De Vrij’s next appearance will be his 50th for Inter in all competitions. His centre-back partner Milan Skriniar has just celebrated his 100th, all as a starter, with the Slovakian in the top two for passes made so far this Serie A (738), second only to Brozovic (832).

Romelu Lukaku has scored nine goals in the league so far, his next will see him overtake Georges Grün (nine) as the fifth most prolific Belgian in Serie A history. Lukaku has already found the net against two newly promoted sides this season: Lecce and Brescia.

Antonio Candreva has been actively involved in five goals in seven Serie A appearances against Verona: two goals and three assists.

The two coaches have never crossed paths before in Serie A, while Antonio Conte is unbeaten against Verona as a coach, with a record of one win and one draw.
