“Passion and temperament have always been in my veins. Nobody ever left the stadium thinking, “Oh if only he had chased after that ball…” because I chased after all of them.”
Courage, determination and sweat. “Bam Bam” Zamorano was always the epitome of energy and determination. Passion and temperament guided him through a career defined by the desire to make it, by endless energy and sweat. “Never hold anything back,” was his motto throughout every one of his 149 games for the Nerazzurri, ever since his arrival back in 1996 after turning down Bayern Munich and going on to score in the #MilanDerby in his first season. He then went on to play a key role in the UEFA Cup win the following year, scoring the decisive goal in the first leg of the semi-final against Spartak Moscow, as well as in the final against Lazio at the Parc des Princes, all the way up until his famous choice of number that would go down in history: 1+8.
