A third consecutive win for Armando Madonna's U-19s who beat the Biancocelesti thanks to Fonseca and Vergani goals


FORMELLO - The Inter Under-19s beat Lazio 2-0 to claim a third consecutive league win. In Formello, the Nerazzurri put in a solid display to take the points thanks to Fonseca and Vergani goals. Inter will now be in UEFA Youth League action on Tuesday against Barcelona with kick-off at 16:00 CET with qualification to the next stage on the line. 

The Nerazzurri approached the game very well, creating three different chances to score in five minutes. First, Fonseca scored from an offside position, then Burgio had a chance before Fonseca hit the bar. In the 15ht minute, there was another great chance for the Nerazzurri with Schirò testing Alia. After some minutes when the Biancocelesti were on top, Inter had a go on the 30-minute mark with Fonseca firing wide from a good position. In the 39th minute, Stankovic turned a Moro effort behind for a corner. 

Inter broke the deadlock in the 56th minute through Fonseca. The Nerazzurri was all alone as he beat Alia with a touch from close range. Lazio looked to react but struggled to create much while the Nerazzurri played on the break. In the 76th minute, Vergani forced a save from Alia before picking up his own rebound to score his first league goal. It finished 0-2 as Armando Madonna’s took a third consecutive league win.
