MILAN - An intense draw which was full of drama, thrust open by Lautaro's goal and slammed shut by Handanovic's penalty save to keep out Muriel. Our first home game of 2020 ended in a 1-1 draw with Atalanta last night.
We have selected four Nerazzurri candidates for the Man of the Match award from last night.
The first is Lautaro Martinez, scorer of the opening goal: the Argentine netted his 15th goal of the season in yet another blistering performance, our number 10 a constant threat for the Bergamaschi defence. Marcelo Brozovic also earns a look-in for ninety minutes of midfield mastery, getting close to a winning wondergoal with just minutes to play. Romelu Lukaku didn't just provide the assist for Lautaro, but won his battles, protected the ball and caused problems for Atalanta's rearguard throughout the game. Finally Samir Handanovic: he kept Atalanta out in the first half with a super save off Toloi's header, then saved a point for the Nerazzurri with a huge hand to keep Muriel out from the spot!
These are your four options: Lautaro, Brozovic, Lukaku and Handanovic. Vote for your Man of the Match from Inter vs. Atalanta now!
