Zanetti: “We’ll face Getafe with maximum concentration”

APPIANO GENTILE – The draw in Nyon has revealed that Getafe will be Inter’s next opponent in the UEFA Europa League round of 16. After the draw, Vice President Javier Zanetti spoke to Inter TV about the opponent and the team’s form: “I think the most important thing was to progress through this round, yesterday the team played really well and we’ve made it to the round of 16. We’ll face Getafe who are a dangerous team and we’ll prepare as best we can for those matches. We’ve never played them before but they’re a team who deserve a lot of respect, they’re fifth in La Liga and we’ll have to face them with maximum concentration because they don’t concede many, they’re very physical and they’re good on the ball as is the Spanish tradition. So, we’ll have to be careful and we’ll prepare for it in the best possible way.”

The first leg will be played at San Siro on 12 March at 21:00 CET, while the second leg will take place on 19 March at 18:55 CET at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Peréz in Getafe: “Regardless of the order in which the matches are played, we have to face both of them with maximum concentration. We want to go all the way and from the first match we’ll have to show we care about this competition.”

Finally, he commented on the round of 32 second leg against Ludogorets and the upcoming challenges: “It wasn’t an easy match yesterday, despite everything happening right now the team approached the game very well and the guys who have played less showed that they care about playing a part. We’re preparing for all these clashes that are of the upmost importance so it’s really good that everyone can contribute. It’s vital that we have a full squad with great availability.”
