Find out the 16 historic Inter players whose identity had to be deciphered through emojis

MILAN – The second ‘Guess Who’ challenge, the quiz designed to test all those Inter know-it-alls, launched today on our social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). The task was to decipher the emojis and identify the 16 historic Inter players that lay behind them.

Here are the solutions:

1 – Julio Cesar

“The Dreamcatcher”, a nickname earned through his saves that’ll remain in history forever, like the one at the Camp Nou. Assured and decisive with his spectacular interventions, he won the admiration of the Nerazzurri people and many others, the first answer is Julio Cesar.

2 – Cristian Chivu

His ‘helmet’ has become synonymous with courage and determination. Everyone remembers that unfortunate day in Verona, and what happened next, his return and goal against Atalanta, the victories that followed and above all, Cristian Chivu’s courage.

3 – Gianluca Festa

He arrived in Milan during the season that saw the team win the second UEFA Cup in Nerazzurri history, Gianluca Festa made 88 appearances for Inter.

4 – Francesco Moriero

He spent three seasons at Inter, making 83 appearances and scoring ten goals, among them his incredible bicycle kick against the Swiss team, Neuchatel Xamax. As well as his performances down the right flank, the fans remember him for the ‘shoe shiner’ celebration with Ronaldo, although his first client was ‘El Chino’, Alvaro Recoba on his debut against Brescia.

5 – Emre Belozoglu

The ‘Mosquito’, Emre. He showed his quality and temperament in one of his greatest performances in the Nerazzurri shirt on 7 December 2002 in a match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

6 – Aron Winter

The UEFA Cup he won in Paris was the high point of his Nerazzurri career. In three seasons, the Dutch midfielder made 119 appearances and scored three goals.

7 – Yuto Nagatomo

On 6 March 2011, after his first goal for the Nerazzurri, he celebrated on the touchline with Eto’o and Zanetti with a gesture that distinguished his career as a player: the bow of thanks to the fans.

8 – Riccardo Ferri

418 appearances for the Nerazzurri across 13 seasons with eight goals scored. During that time, he won a Scudetto, an Italian Super Cup and two UEFA Cups, Riccardo Ferri is the eighth solution.

9 – Samuel Eto’o

The ‘Lion King’; a mix of determination, talent and strength. His temperament, goals and joy are part of Nerazzurri history, as are his generosity and willingness to sacrifice. He made 102 appearances and scored 53 goals for Inter, as well as winning a long list of trophies.

10 – van der Meyde

Signed from Ajax in the summer of 2003, he wore the Nerazzurri’s no.7 shirt for two seasons, making 54 appearances and scoring four goals, it’s the ‘archer’: van der Meyde.

11 – Alessandro Bianchi

He won a Scudetto, an Italian Super Cup and two UEFA Cups in his time with the Nerazzurri from 1988 to 1996; the solution to number eleven is Alessandro Bianchi.

12 – Salvatore Bagni

Signed from Perugia in the summer of 1981, he wore the Nerazzurri shirt for three seasons making 121 appearances and scoring 17 goals. The tricky answer to number twelve is Salvatore Bagni.

13 – Matteo Ferrari

Having come through our Youth Sector he returned to Inter in 2000; answer number 13 is defender Matteo Ferrari.

14 – Juan Sebastian Veron

A nickname he acquired to describe the magic of his two years at Inter between 2004 and 2006 when he brought his services to the Nerazzurri, it’s ‘The Little Witch’, Sebastian Veron.

15 – Benoit Cauet

146 appearances and eight goals in his four seasons at Inter, enriched by the UEFA Cup triumph in 1997/98. Answer number 15 is the ‘Postman’ Benoit Cauet.

16 – Youri Djorkaeff

A bicycle kick emoji would have been enough, but that goal against Roma is already imprinted on the 1997/98 season ticket. An act of skill that tells the tale of the last answer to our ‘Guess Who’, Djorkaeff.
