A night of World Cup 2022 qualifiers: Vidal also plays


MILAN - During the night, the first matchday of World Cup 2022 qualification got underway with some encounters with great tradition and intrigue. Three Nerazzurri featured for their respective national teams last night: Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Lautaro Martinez.

Defeat for Chile, Sanchez and Vidal: Alexis scores Two Nerazzurri played the full 90 minutes in Chile's 2-1 defeat to Uruguay and Montevideo: Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez. The hosts scored a late winner through Maxi Gomez. The Celeste opened the scoring through Luis Suarez from the penalty spot before our very own Alexis Sanchez brought Chile level.

Argentina win, Lautaro starts Argentina ran out 1-0 winers over Ecuador at the famous Bombonera in Buenos Aires. Lautaro Martinez, wearing 22, was named in Scaloni's starting XI. A Leo Messi goal from the spot in the 13th minute decided the match. Lautaro played for 76 minutes before being replaced by Alario.
