Rocchini: "Huge amount of willingness from the squad"

APPIANO GENTILE - Riccardo Rocchini has praised the Inter squad for their application during their first pre-season under new coach Simone Inzaghi.

Rocchini – who is a coach in Inzaghi’s backroom staff – spoke to Inter TV from the Nerazzurri’s base in Appiano Gentile.

What have you made of pre-season so far?

“There’s been a huge amount of willingness from the lads. They’re the Champions of Italy, but they’re so humble. They’ve all given everything from the first day.”

How important is teamwork within the coaching staff?

“Teamwork is absolutely crucial. There are lots of things to do so teamwork enables you to achieve the best possible results.”

What have you been working on the most?

“We focus heavily on intensity, because we believe that in modern football – aside from technical skill – it’s important to show a high degree of intensity during matches.”

What are your aims for the season?

“We want to do well and consolidate our achievements. We’re a very strong, competitive team, so the expectations are high.”
