The 93rd minute is certainly one that Davide Frattesi likes. He scored his first Inter goal on the 93-minute mark during the 5-1 derby victory earlier on in the campaign, and now he's bagged three minutes into stoppage time to secure a vital three points against Verona. It was a crazy match and one where plenty of heart and a bit of luck were needed to win.
His finish and wonderful celebration sent San Siro wild, and this is what he had to say after the game:
“The most important thing is we have a fantastic group here. Even those who don’t play as much feel just as important as the others, and this is vital during such a long season. My celebration could have been even crazier; I held back! As regards my goal, the ball rebounded back out to me, and I followed it all the way before scoring. There was also a bit of luck involved. I’ve been through a difficult period because it isn’t easy when you’re so used to playing. My engine hasn’t always been running at 100%, but this goal will give me even more confidence, and I hope to help the team even more. These games that aren’t always easy on the eye are difficult, and I think winning these kinds of matches could prove key.”
