Design for Sport, Inter at Milano Design Week

MILAN - There’s a completely black and blue building standing in the heart of Milan. It can be found at 16 via Felice Casati and it will be the home of Design for Sport for a week which Inter are taking part in for the second consecutive year as part of Milano Design Week. Innovation, passion and design are the three keywords for the week which FC Internazionale Milano wishes to embrace.  "We want to be the youngest-feeling club in the world," said President Steven Zhang last year at the opening of the Design Week. This is the spirit which Inter will demonstrate across the week, collaborating with RM Istituto Moda and Design di Milano, a school which brings together master designers.

There will be a lot of Nerazzurri involvement and not just with the location at the Raffles headquarters completely decked out in Inter colours. A contest will involve students from different local schools to design a new livery for the team bus for the 2019/20 season. The jury will consist of both CEOs AlessandroAntonello and GiuseppeMarotta, Vice-President JavierZanetti, captain SamirHandanovic along with President of ADI-Associazione per il Disegno Industriale Luciano Galimberti and College Director for the RM Istituto Moda e Design Pasquale Volpe.

Every afternoon, there will be conferences on topics related to sport and design featuring Inter’s partners such as Pirelli and Technogym and you can register your interest in participating at: designforsport.inter.it. Sport and technology, visual communications, innovation, design in sport and the Olympics will all be discussed.

The event will open at 18:00 CET on Tuesday 9th April with Chief Marketing Officer of FC Internazionale Milano LucaDanovaro and Raffles Director Volpe followed by a roundtable discussion with SamirHandanovic, JavierZanetti and FrancescoToldo meeting the youngsters in the competition to design a new team coach. In the morning on Saturday 13th April, the prize will be presented to the winner along with the opening of the exhibition on the works from the week. Manpower Group, Norda and Peroni are the sponsors for the event.
