Happy Birthday to Alvaro Recoba!

MILAN – He amazed and enchanted the fans with his spectacular goals and splendid performances. His unquestionable football flair granted him a place of admiration in the hearts of all Nerazzurri fans to whom he immediately displayed his best efforts: he stole the limelight from Ronaldo on his debut with a double against Brescia on 31 August 1997.

He made 261 appearances and scored 72 goals for the Nerazzurri, many of which were unforgettable such as the one scored against Empoli on 25 January 1998 and his left-footed strike from the edge of the box to complete Inter’s famous comeback on 9 January 2005 against Sampdoria. Let’s not forget all those trophies he won either: two Scudetto titles, two Coppa Italia, two Super Cups and one UEFA Cup.
