The club has kicked off its initiatives to celebrate Chinese New Year 2022, from the hero video featuring the black and blue tiger to the Capsule Collection of products and the special celebratory jersey that the first team will wear against Venezia

MILAN – Inter is celebrating Chinese New Year 2022 with a series of initiatives linked to the tiger, the animal that depicts the lunar new year and which has turned black and blue for the occasion.

The hero video revolves around a tiger, which symbolises energy and spirituality. It tells the story through a cartoon involving a taxi driver of Chinese origin who lives in Milan a long way from his family, who he has now not seen for two years. The only item to keep him company is a black and blue toy tiger on the dashboard. Thanks to the magic of that tiger, which becomes a symbol of hope and unity, the taxi driver manages to be reunited with his loved ones in a moving finale.

“May the tiger bring us together” is the club’s wish for the lunar new year, in the hope that the animal can help all families feel united, including those that are far apart physically.

The tiger represents the core element not only of the hero video, but also of all the club’s activations linked to Chinese New Year. The INTER logo as part of the club’s visual identity has been enhanced by a tiger scratch both digitally and in the range of products that are dedicated to the lunar new year.

The Capsule Collection, which is available for purchase from today on store.inter.it/gb, on Inter's Amazon Store and in shops in Galleria Passarella and at San Siro, is made up of a range of garments and accessories with both personalised lettering and the Inter tiger, which is the protagonist of the hero video.

The special activities linked to Chinese New Year will continue when Inter take to the pitch to face Venezia wearing a special commemorative jersey, on which player names will be written in Chinese characters and a tiger scratch effect will be specially woven into each squad number.

Several other initiatives are also planned for the matchday itself, with pitchside LEDs and jumbo screens set to display messages for Chinese New Year and the hospitality areas will be adorned with themed decorations.

The club’s programme for the lunar new year will also involve members of the Inter Women first-team squad, who have recorded special messages for the fans, and children at Inter Academy all over the world, who have been asked to send in their artistic impressions of the tiger. The best photos and/or videos will be posted across the club’s social media channels in the coming days.
