Inter strengthens bond with UNC: visit to Chapel Hill with Maicon

During their stay in the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup, Inter visited the University of North Carolina, further reinforcing the connection established last year during the team’s participation in The Soccer Tournament (TST).

This year, Inter legend Maicon took part in the visit to Chapel Hill, exploring some of the university’s most iconic facilities—from the historic Dean Smith Center, home of Tar Heels basketball and birthplace of Michael Jordan’s legend, to the basketball museum and the soccer training grounds that have helped shape college sports history in the U.S.

Maicon also met with Eddie Pope—former U.S. national team captain and American soccer icon—for a symbolic jersey exchange ahead of Inter vs. Fluminense at Bank of America Stadium. A meaningful moment that underlined the strong and growing relationship between Inter and one of the country’s leading academic and athletic institutions.
