A super first-half performance from the Nerazzurri Primavera seals the win over Empoli with goals from Ntube, Oristanio and Moretti

MILAN - Inter’s Primavera got their 2020 off to a great start as, despite absences, they dispatched Empoli with a 3-1 win on matchday 14 of the Under 19 division. Goals from Ntube, Oristanio and Moretti secured the points for the hosts with a late consolation goal for Empoli from Asllani.

Inter flew out the blocks in the first half, really showing their strengths despite some key players out of the game. After two good chances for Oristanio, Armando Madonna’s boys finally found the breakthrough with captain Ntube in the 17th minute, our defender tapping home the rebound from Mulattieri’s header to give Inter the lead. The Primavera almost scored a second soon after, Oristanio and Mulattieri both coming close to goal. But it wasn’t long before the goal did arrive, Oristanio winning and dispatching a penalty in minute 40 after Adamoli’s foul in the box. A third for Inter arrived just before the half-time whistle, Moretti netting the goal to place the cherry atop a fantastic first half from the Nerazzurri.

The second half began with a super save from Stankovic, our goalkeeper flying across goal to keep Asllani’s effort out. Despite three further saves, our Nerazzurri goalkeeper couldn’t quite keep the clean sheet, Asllani breaking through in the 75th minute. The rest of the game saw Inter on the back foot, but the hosts did enough to keep the scoreline at 3-1, Inter taking all three points from their first game of the year and climbing to a total of 26 in the table.
