UEFA PRESIDENT'S AWARD GIVEN TO THE HEROES OF COPENHAGEN
There was an emotional moment in Istanbul when images and interviews were shown featuring the key people who were involved in the medical intervention on 12 June at the Park Stadion in Copenhagen that saved Christian Eriksen’s life. UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin handed the award to Morten Skjoldager and Morten Boesen (Denmark’s medical staff), Simon Kjær (Denmark captain) as well as: Mogens Kreutzfeldt (chief medical officer), Frederik Flensted (stadium medical manager), Anders Boesen (pitchside emergency doctor), Peder Ersgaard (paramedic), Jens Kleinefeld and Valentin Velikov.
