The Dutch midfielder, who was inducted into the Inter Hall of Fame this year, turns 38 today

MILAN – Wesley Sneijder, born in Utrecht on 9 June 1984, is celebrating his 38th birthday today. In three-and-a-half seasons at Inter, the Dutchman made 116 appearances, scored 22 goals and won the lot: one Scudetto, one Champions League, two Coppe Italia, one Club World Cup and one Italian Super Cup.

Sneijder was a key part of the side that stormed to treble glory, notching goals that will always generate fond memories for Nerazzurri fans and conjuring up magical moments that enchanted the crowd ever since his debut for the club in a crushing 4-0 victory in the Milan derby on 29 August 2009 the day after he signed for Inter.

The Dutch playmaker was inducted into the Inter Hall of Fame earlier this year alongside Gianluca Pagliuca, Marco Materazzi and Samuel Eto’o and also featured in one of the episodes of the “10 numeri 10” podcast.
