— Dec 6th 2024MILANO - To celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities, which occurs every year on December 3, Inter organised a series of initiatives at San Siro that took place on December 6, during the match against Parma on matchday 15 of Serie A. The Division of Paralympic and Experimental football dedicated to people with intellectual and relational disabilities, started in 2016 and was promoted by the FIGC. Inter have their own "Special" team, created by the Milano based group Sporting4E, which has taken part in the DCPS Championship since 2017.
For the match between Inter and Parma, players from the gialloblù Special team were alongside the Inter Special team and were pitch side during the warm-up before the match, where they met the President and CEO Sport of Inter Giuseppe Marotta, Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti and the sporting director of Parma Mauro Pederzoli.
Great emotion in the end for two players from the DCPS sides, who had the honour of accompanying the Inter and Parma captains onto the field during the walkout.
CSR is the social heart of Inter, operating within the Milano Metropolitan Area and using football as a tool for social awareness, a way to give back to the city the love and popularity that the Club receives each day. Within Inter's CSR Strategy, all projects are developed in collaboration with local groups that operate in the areas where Inter has its roots, and in synergy with stakeholders who are internal and external. Each season, over 12,000 people are directly connected to the initiatives and projects of Inter's CSR efforts. The projects are designed and supported by Inter with a medium-to-long-term vision, creating stable relationships with partner organizations, some of which have spanned over a decade. The Club's CSR activities involve collaboration with various stakeholders: from institutions and partners to players, young athletes, employees, and fans.
