A commitment renewed since 2018 to promote inclusion in sport and fight all forms of discrimination. Inter Legends and young Nerazzurri players came together with Lega Serie A, the Italian Sports Center (CSI), and the “Io Tifo Positivo” project in Milano’s schools.

An afternoon of reflection saw over 300 young people visit the Shoah Memorial in Milano, at Platform 21 of Central Station, thanks to the support of Inter together with Lega Serie A and the Centro Sportivo Italiano. The initiative reaffirmed the value of inclusion in football and the fight against all forms of discrimination. The young athletes took part in a guided tour of the Memorial, which ended with a moment of rememberance for Árpád Weisz, a succesful player, coach and talent scout, including for Inter, whose remarkable sporting career was tragically cut short by the horrors of Nazism.

Also taking part in the visit to this place of memorial and learning were young players from Milano’s parish clubs competing in the Philadelphia Junior Cup, a national youth tournament involving Serie A cities, together with Inter academy players and students from Milanese schools involved in the Io Tifo Positivo project, run by the Club in partnership with Comunità Nuova and supported by the City of Milano.

The athletes also met Inter Legends Lisa Alborghetti, Giuseppe Bergomi and Francesco Toldo, and took part in a discussion centred on the core values of the project, friendship, respect and inclusion which are key tools in tackling racism. Alongside the Nerazzurri greats, these themes were also explored during the awareness session by Roberto Jarach, President of the Milano Shoah Memorial Foundation; Elena Vetere from Lega Serie A’s Corporate Social Responsibility department; and Massimo Achini, President of CSI Milano.

At the end of the visit, the Inter Legends signed the "Philadelphia Junior Cup | Keep Racism Out" shirt, underlining the project’s strong educational message. Now in its 13th edition, the Philadelphia Junior Cup once again supports the Keep Racism Out campaign against racism and all forms of discrimination, promoted by Lega Serie A in collaboration with UNAR, the National Office Against Racial Discrimination under the Italian Prime Minister’s Office.
