Gianmario Corti’s side booked their Final Eight semi-final spot with a game to spare on Sunday afternoon

SAN MAURO PASCOLI – It’s two wins from two for Gianmario Corti’s side at the Under 17 Serie A and B Final Eight stage on Sunday.

Following on from their opening-day win over Napoli, the Nerazzurri beat Palermo 1-0 on Sunday afternoon to qualify for the semi-final stage with a game to spare.

Valietti scored the all-important goal on 80 minutes, heading home from Vanheusden’s cross. It could well have been a larger margin of victory for the Nerazzurri, but both Pinamonti and Vanheusden saw efforts denied by the woodwork in the first half.

The third and final group match pits Inter against Juventus, with the game taking place at the Comunale in San Pietro in Vincoli on Tuesday 14 June (18:00 CEST kick-off).
