Inter Clubs mark new season with membership party

MILAN - The Inter Club membership campaign for the new season was launched on Tuesday evening with a big crowd of members joined by a host of special guests.

Among those attending the event - organised by the Inter Club Coordination Centre and presented by Global Main Sponsor Pirelli - were venue commercial director David Garth, first-team club manager Dejan Stankovic, Nerazzurri legend Mario Corso, Inter Club ambassador Nicola Berti, Inter Forever stars Riccardo Ferri and Evaristo Beccalossi and academy chief Roberto Samaden, together with Primavera coach Stefano Vecchi. Inter Channel director Roberto Scarpini hosted proceedings.

David Garth got the ball rolling by thanking members and officially opening the #DNANerazzurro Inter Club membership campaign.

"It's wonderful to see so many Inter Club members here," the venue commercial director began. "We had an excellent season with over 100,000 members - that's a result we should all be proud of. The new owners know what Inter Clubs are all about, both in Italy and around the globe, and they want to help us keep growing."

Dejan Stankovic was unsurprisingly given a raucous reception by the Inter Club members present.

The first-team club manager admitted: "You never forget the sound of the fans' chants and it's always nice. Now we all need to get behind our boys next season."

The 2016/17 Inter Club Opening Party was another great night celebrating all things black and blue - one of many such opportunities when you're part the Inter Club family.
