Reigning champions Chile defeat Colombia 2-0 to set up a repeat of last year's final against Argentina. Medel and Murillo both play the full game

MILAN - Gary Medel's Chile will go up against Argentina in a rematch of last year's Copa America final after seeing off Jeison Murillo's Colombia in the semi-final on Wednesday night.

The Chileans came racing out of the blocks and were two goals to the good inside the first quarter of an hour thanks to Charles Aranguiz (7) and Jose Pedro Fuenzalida (11).

The match was halted for two hours in the second half due to an electrical storm but after the resumption of play Medel's team held on to win 2-0.

It means that on Sunday night Chile will have the opportunity to defend the Copa America crown they won on home soil last year, when they beat Argentina on penalties.

Medel and Murillo both played 90 minutes for their respective sides.
