Eder and Candreva start in Italy defeat

The two Nerazzurri men were both in Giampiero Ventura’s first starting line-up as Italy boss. Kondogbia was an unused sub for France


BARI – Inter players Eder and Antonio Candreva were both part of the starting line-up as Italy were beaten 3-1 by France at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari on Thursday evening.

Midfielder Candreva played the entire 90 minutes, while Eder made way for debutant Andrea Belotti on 75 minutes, having earlier set up Graziano Pelle’s first-half equaliser.

Geoffrey Kondogbia was part of the French squad for the match, but wasn’t used by coach Didier Deschamps.
