Former Nerazzurri midfielder attends traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new club in Emilia Romagna

CASTEL DI CASIO – Inter Forever's Nicola Berti was in Emilia Romagna recently for the official inauguration of Inter Club Matteo Parigino “Zamorano”.

“It's a very proud feeling for me to be here for this inauguration – such an important moment in the history of a club – together with these Nerazzurri fans who have decided to band together and share their passion for Inter,” the former midfielder said after the ribbon-cutting ceremony with president Nicola Cioni and regional coordinator Antonio Arata.

“I'd like to thank everyone for giving me such a warm welcome. It's been the same at all the other clubs I've had the chance to visit and it's always nice.”

The event was also an opportunity to raise funds for a local initiative – something which Inter Clubs often pride themselves in doing.

Lucio Marchi, one of the newly formed club's members, added: “It's been a wonderful evening and getting to meet Nicola Berti was a lovely surprise. He was a great player who we all enjoyed watching and we're all very fond of.

“I'm really happy that this club has been set up. Now I can support Inter with other Nerazzurri fans.”

The Inter Club family keeps on growing, both in Italy and around the world.

If you've got Nerazzurri DNA in you, you should join an Inter Club yourself!
