Nerazzurri triumph 3-2 in Coppa Italia last 16: Murillo scores a stunning overhead kick, Palacio makes it 2-0 then Dzemaili and Donsah equalise in regular time

MILAN - Inter are through to the Coppa Italia quarter-finals following a 3-2 extra-time victory over Bologna.

The Nerazzurri looked to be cruising after Jeison Murillo scored with a brilliant overhead kick and Rodrigo Palacio added a second.

However, Bologna were handed a lifeline before the break when Blerim Dzemail's shot was somewhat fortuitously deflected past Juan Carrizo by Geoffrey Kondogbia.

Stefano Pioli's men continued to boss proceedings in the second half but the vistors equalised through Godfred Donsah with their second effort on target.

The game went to extra time and it was substitiute Antonio Candreva who found the winner, steering home Mauro Icardi's cross.

Inter will now face Genoa or Lazio in the last eight on 31 January.
