"We’ve done some great preparation here in Marbella. We want to pick up from where we left off before the break," the defender told Inter Channel

MARBELLA Cristian Ansaldi is looking forward to Serie A’s return this weekend, with Inter kicking off the second half of the season with a trip to Udinese on Sunday lunchtime.

"We’re determined to pick up from where we left off before the break," the Argentine defender told Inter Channel. "We’re working very hard. We went through a tough period at the start of the season, but we’re bouncing back now."

Ansaldi was forced to endure a disrupted start to his Nerazzurri career after injury kept him out of the team for several weeks, but the Argentine now feels ready to kickstart his season.

"Physically I feel good – my leg feels a lot better and I can strike the ball confidently. I got a lot of assists last season so I hope to get back among them soon. As for the goals, the important thing is that the team is scoring, not who finds the back of the net."
