Ausilio: "Fundamental match for us"

MILAN – Piero Ausilio gave a brief interview shortly before kick-off in Inter v Empoli. 

The first question concerned the comments from referee Nicola Rizzoli, but the Nerazzurri sporting director insisted the focus was on today's contest.

"We've been focused on this game since Monday," he said, "it's fundamental for us. We've got a lot of absences, but all our players are quality. We've got some top footballers in the squad; they could all start so we've got no excuses.

"Could Gabigol have a chance? We're pleased with what he's doing and he could contribute from off the bench today. Are 13 wins enough for third place? I'd try to win 15."
