"We’re even closer to our fans thanks to projects like Inter Academy and Inter Forever," said the Nerazzurri vice president after his return from Japan

APPIANO GENTILEJavier Zanetti has spoken of his experiences in Japan after his recent trip to the Far East to help open Inter Academy Japan’s new hub at the Fuchu sports centre.

"The club believes strongly in the project," began the Nerazzurri vice president, speaking to Inter Channel. "Inter Academy is a direct expression of our youth academy and the project continues to go from strength to strength. Japan is a very passionate country – there were 300 children and their families at the event on Saturday.

"These initiatives allow Inter to get even closer to its fans all over the world. Every time I travel with Inter Academy or Inter Forever, whether its China, Japan or Saudi Arabia, I’m always struck by the huge support there is for our club. These experiences are really important to us."
