MILAN – With the hashtag #WisdomWednesday, we take the time across social media to remember famous quotes from Inter legends and icons.
Today it’s the turn of Sandro Mazzola, a member of the Grande Inter side which dominated Italian football in the 1960s. In a recent episode of Memorabilia on Inter Channel, featuring interviews of Inter greats, he spoke of his enduring love for the club and what it means when the Nerazzurri colours are part of you.
"Black and blue is black and blue; it remains inside of you; you can’t tear it out of me. Whatever you do, it remains. It regenerates, and grows to be as great as it was before," he said.
Sandro Mazzola spent 17 seasons with us. He’s always been and always will be a Nerazzurri man. Time may pass, but an Interista is an Interista for life.
