The centre-back captained the Selecao in last night's World Cup qualifier against Uruguay and set up Neymar for the third goal


MILAN - Joao Miranda helped Brazil secure a vital 4-1 win against Uruguay in World Cup qualifying on Thursday night.

The Nerazzurri defender, named captain for the occasion, played the full 90 minutes and set up Neymar for the Selecao's third goal.

Paulinho scored a hat-trick after Edinson Cavani had given Uruguay the lead from the penalty spot.
