CAGLIARI – Ever Banega was at the heart of everything good about Inter's 5-1 win this afternoon, especially in the first half where he set one up and then scored a fantastic free kick.
He spoke about the 5-1 victory to Inter Channel after the game.
"It wasn't an easy match and we dominated the play," Banega began. "We went into this fixture after a poor performance, so it was important to bounce back immediately.
"All the matches are difficult. I tried to do my best and as the contest develops a player should try to adopt the best position on the field, which is what I gradually started to do."
His positive display came after he received a call-up to Argentina's squad.
"I'm happy about the call-up into the national team. It's the pinnacle for any player and a great source of pride, even though I've been around the squad for a while."
