Inter Campus Tunisia, one big family

HERGLA - "Hergla is a small town where everyone knows everyone else but thanks to Inter Campus we're now one big family.” The words of Inter Campus Tunisia educator Heythem epitomise the family atmosphere felt in Hergla. As we walk through the streets with Chicco Uncini, the Nerazzurri-supporting president of Tanit Cultural Association - an Inter Campus Tunisia partner since the project began in 2012 - and founder of Inter Club Tunisia Giacinto Facchetti, every person we meet smiles and greets us.

Around 270 boys and girls benefit from the project here, which is split across two centres: Hergla and Soyeh, both just outside Sousse. The activities organised have been very successful thanks to the hard work and dedication shown by all the staff involved. Many of the children come from very difficult family backgrounds and one of the consequences is the high dropout rate from schools. The Inter Campus programme offers not only a happy oasis where these children can play but a positive educational influence too.

With the Tunisian economy and tourist industry now starting to pick up, we are pleased to have Tunisair as our new Proud Partner. The country's flag carrier airline has shown great sensitivity and determination to contribute to a project that invests in teaching and training young people, who represent the future of the country.
