Carrizo savours special evening

MILAN – Juan Pablo Carrizo admitted it had been a night to remember as he made his final appearance for Inter after five years in Milan.

"It’s been a special evening," said the goalkeeper. "I’m leaving but I’m delighted to have had this experience at Inter. I always gave 100% wherever possible, even when I’ve not played or come off the bench. I’ve always supported my team-mates."

Carrizo also looked back on his best moments from his time with Inter.

"My highlights have been the cup matches, especially the one against Juventus in the Coppa Italia. Even though it didn’t turn out well, it was still a great game. Tonight was special too," he said.

"I want to keep playing and find more consistency," he continued. "I’ll make a decision based on the options available to me. I’m 33 but I still feel like a youngster!"
