#WisdomWednesday: Nicola Berti

MILAN – It’s time for #WisdomWednesday once again, the day we delve back through the Nerazzurri history books to uncover lost pearls of wisdom.

Today it’s the turn of Nicola Berti, a Nerazzurri fan favourite and current member of Inter Forever. Here, in an interview with Inter Channel’s Memorabilia programme, Berti looks back on a special moment in the run-up to the 1993/94 UEFA Cup final.

"Before the victory in Vienna, we were staying in a hotel near to the station. In the morning, I could hear people singing ‘Score us a goal…’. At first I thought I was dreaming, but it was actually the fans outside singing my song. It was amazing to wake up to that and I channelled that feeling on the pitch."
