Thanks to collaboration with local partner, Centre Sportif Camerounais, the project will this year focus on those with special needs

Inter Campus Cameroon has reached an important turning point. The visit held from 27th July to August 4th in Baham, was a clear watershed for the Inter Campus project within the country. A total of 27 local coaches followed a training course put on by our very own coaches Lorenzo and Davide, then working out on the pitch with 40 children from the local Inter Campus hub. However, this time there is added motivation. From this year onwards, and in agreement with the Centre Sportif Camerounais and the emanation from the Centro Orientamento Educativo (CEO) in Milan, the project will now focus on groups and coaches who are spread out across the country, working with a continued desire to help improve educational training. This is why, in following its mission, the project will always adapt to those local partners who have already been working with children for the rest of the year. Consequently, the Italian Sports Center has now implemented the planning of annual visits to the country with young Italian volunteers, which allows us to concentrate and advance our activities for those with special needs. After the usual training, this is then followed by a practical and theory test, which ensures that the selection of tutors can guarantee the continuity and solidity that has encapsulated the project for the past 16 years. There is a need to excel and we have always sought out people who can demonstrate the educational and sporting techniques that are related to the spirit of Inter Campus. This strengthening of the project, without reducing the number of children involved, will allow us to continue making a difference in real terms. With empathy and professionalism, we are focused on educating children in the way which sport demands, without disregarding the fun that comes with football. We want the children to smile even in the bad situations. Always looking ahead, Inter Campus Camerun, un pas après l’autre!
