Stefano Vecchi's Nerazzurri won their second match to stay top of Group 3 on full points and qualify with a game to spare

VIAREGGIO - At the Stadio Bresciani in Viareggio, Stefano Vecchi’s Under-19s beat Parma 1-0 thanks to a goal from Facundo Colidio in the 27th minute. The Nerazzurri’s win sees the team stay top of Group 3 and book their place in the Round of 16 with a match to spare as group winners.

It started well for Stefano Vecchi’s team who went close to taking the lead ten minutes in through Danso. Sala made his way into the box and set up the Ghanaian who fired over from a good position. On 18 minutes, some good interplay between Odgaard and Colidio allowed the Argentine to get a shot away but it was well saved by Adorni.

Halfway through the half the Nerazzurri went close again when Odgaard went close from a Pompetti corner. The lead came in the 27th minute when Facundo Colidio turned in with the laces of his right boot, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. Inter were in full control and went close to doubling the lead via Odgaard and Colidio before the sides went into the break at 1-0.

The second half started like the first as the Nerazzurri looked to extend the lead. Parma however went closest to start with through Longo who fired off target. Over the course of the half, the Nerazzurri sat back and controlled possession without much drama. The Gialloblu weren’t able to trouble Pissardo so Vecchi’s Inter side won to move up to six points in the standings.
